What are the four core functions of management?
To achieve goals, managers focus on four core functions: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.
Planning is the process of setting goals and deciding how to reach them.
Organizing is the process of finding resources, delegating work, and coordinating activities.

What makes a manager successful?
Success for many managers is based on achieving goals and how effectively and efficiently resources are used in four areas: human resources, financial resources, physical resources, and informational resources.
Human resources are people with the knowledge, skills, or capacity.
Financial resources are the capital and cash flow needs.
Physical resources are the physical equipment, supplies, and workspaces.
Informational resources are the data and flow of information.
